Contact Hour Total:48 A study of relations and functions, inequalities, algebraic expressions and equations (absolute value, polynomial, radical, rational), with a special emphasis on linear and quadratic expressions and equations.
Prerequisite(s): A Mathematics TSIA score of 336-349, or a Mathematics Adult Basic Education score of 5 or 6, or an appropriate score on an approved placement test, or approval of the Academic Dean or designee.

Notes: MATH 0314 provides support for students seeking to complete their developmental mathematics coursework and MATH 1414 (College Algebra for science and engineering majors) in one semester. Instruction for this course includes directed review, just-in-time teaching, and an emphasis on mathematics-specific study skills.
