A study of relations and functions, inequalities, algebraic expressions and equations (absolute value, polynomial, radical, rational), with a special emphasis on linear and quadratic expressions and equations.

Prerequisite(s): A Mathematics TSIA score of 336-349, or a Mathematics Adult Basic Education score of 5 or 6, or an appropriate score on an approved placement test, or approval of the Academic Dean or designee. 

Corequisite(s): MATH 1414

Notes: MATH 0314 provides support for students seeking to complete their developmental mathematics coursework and MATH 1414 (College Algebra for science and engineering majors) in one semester.
