The Office Administration Program is designed for students interested in the flow of information in the office from creation to processing to storage. The Administrative Assistant awards are for students seeking employment or advancement in an administrative office where emphasis is placed on acquiring communication, computer, and management skills. Graduates are prepared to seek employment in occupations ranging from software specialist to executive administrative assistant.

Credit towards an award in the Office Administration Program (formerly Information Management) may be issued upon successful completion of all parts of the Certified Professional Secretary (CPS) Exam. The courses for which the credit will be granted are: POFT 1319, ARTC 1313, and ACNT 1303. The number of course credits that will apply toward graduation will vary depending on the particular award selected. The maximum number of credits granted will not exceed 15 credit hours for the certificate or degree. The student can be concurrently enrolled in six (6) hours, but must complete six (6) hours at Blinn College before requesting credit for experiential learning that is quantified by the successful passing of a state or national, or international certification exam.
