This degree prepares students for careers in the business profession by providing the foundation necessary to successfully transfer and pursue a degree in the area of business at a four year college/university. Students are given the opportunity to learn fundamentals, as well as, the theory and practical application of: management principles, personal finance, business law, business legal environment, teamwork, research practices, and critical thinking to make decisions and communicate effectively. An Associate of Science in Business, will broadly prepare students to enter further study leading to a degree or career in management, supply chain, marketing, business operations, human resources, or as a business research analyst or entrepreneur.

Core Component: 42 Credit Hours


Communication: 6 Credit Hours


Choose Two (2):

Mathematics: 3 Credit Hours


Choose One (1):

Life and Physical Sciences: 6 Credit Hours


If any overflow hours are earned from Life and Physical Sciences, they will be applied to the Component Area Option.

Choose a minimum of Six (6) Hours:

Language, Philosophy, Culture: 3 Credit Hours


Choose One (1):

American History: 6 Credit Hours


Government/Political Science: 6 Credit Hours


Component Area Option: 6 Credit Hours


If any overflow hours are earned from Life and Physical Sciences, they will be applied to the Component Area Option.

Choose Two (2) courses equaling six (6) hours unless overflow hours from Life and Physical Sciences are used:

Academic Electives: 6 Credit Hours


Area of Concentration: 12 Credit Hours


Business: 12 Credit Hours


Total Hours for Degree: 60 Credit Hours
