Contact Hour Total:48 This course supports students in developing skills, strategies, and reasoning needed to succeed in mathematics, including communication and appropriate use of technology. Topics include the study of numeracy and the real number system; algebraic concepts, notation, and reasoning; quantitative relationships; mathematical models; and problem solving.
Prerequisite(s): A Mathematics TSIA2 score of 910-949 with a Diagnostic Level score of 1-3, or an appropriate score on an approved placement test, or approval of the Academic Dean or designee.
Notes: MATH 0300 provides support for students seeking to improve their mathematical abilities in preparation for taking paired courses or in preparation for a certificate program. Instruction for this course is delivered in an emporium model with structured meeting times and benchmarks to monitor student success.
