Includes all the skills necessary to provide emergency medical care at a basic life support level with an ambulance service or other specialized services. The student will display a working knowledge of clinical information and related topics relevant to the practice of pre-hospital emergency medical care of the EMT level; demonstrate the ability to competently perform all applicable skills; and exhibit attitudes and behavior consistent with the ethics and professionalism expected of the EMT. Student must earn a B or better in both co-enrolled courses to successfully complete EMT training. Prerequisite(s): A student must be college ready according to TSI college-ready standards.
