Contact Hour Total:48 The course supports students in developing skills, strategies, and reasoning needed to succeed in mathematics, including communication and appropriate use of technology. Topics include the study of numeracy and the real number system; algebraic concepts, notation, and reasoning; quantitative relationships; mathematical models; and problem solving. Prerequisite(s): A Mathematics TSIA score of 310-335 with a Mathematics Adult Basic Education score of 1-4, or an appropriate score on an approved placement test, or approval of the Academic Dean or designee. Notes: MATH 0300 does not apply toward a degree or certificate. MATH 0300 is delivered in an emporium model with structured meeting times and benchmarks to monitor student success.
