This degree prepares students by providing the academic foundation necessary to successfully transfer and pursue baccalaureate degrees in liberal arts, fine arts, or related fields. A degree in liberal arts emphasizes critical thinking, logical reasoning, communication, personal responsibility, social responsibility, and teamwork.

Core Component: 42 Credit Hours


Communication: 6 Credit Hours


Choose Two (2):

Mathematics: 3 Credit Hours


If any overflow hours are earned from Math or Life and Physical Sciences, they will be applied to the Component Area Option.

Choose One (1):

Life and Physical Sciences: 6 Credit Hours


If any overflow hours are earned from Math or Life and Physical Sciences, they will be applied to the Component Area Option.

Choose a minimum of Six (6) Hours:

American History: 6 Credit Hours


Choose Two (2):

Government/Political Science: 6 Credit Hours


Component Area Option: 6 Credit Hours


If any overflow hours are earned from Math or Life and Physical Sciences, they will be applied to the Component Area Option.

Choose Two (2) courses equaling six (6) hours unless overflow hours from Life and Physical Sciences / Mathematics are used:
