Anthropology, AA

This degree prepares students by providing the academic foundation necessary to successfully transfer and pursue an Anthropology degree at a four year college/university. Students are given the opportunity to learn differing theories in regards to human origins and bio-cultural adaptations along with hands on experience in laboratory techniques and experimentation.

Core Component: 42 Credit Hours


Communication: 6 Credit Hours


Choose Two (2):

Mathematics: 3 Credit Hours


If any overflow hours are earned from Math or Life and Physical Sciences, they will be applied to the Component Area Option.

Choose One (1):

Life and Physical Sciences: 6 Credit Hours


If any overflow hours are earned from Math or Life and Physical Sciences, they will be applied to the Component Area Option.

Choose a minimum of Six (6) Hours:

American History: 6 Credit Hours


Choose Two (2):

Government/Political Science: 6 Credit Hours


Social and Behavioral Sciences: 3 Credit Hours


Choose One (1):

Component Area Option: 6 Credit Hours


If any overflow hours are earned from Math or Life and Physical Sciences, they will be applied to the Component Area Option.

Choose Two (2) courses equaling six (6) hours unless overflow hours from Life and Physical Sciences/ Mathematics are used:

Academic Electives: 6 Credit Hours


General Academic Electives: 6 Credit Hours
