Upon successful completion of this degree, students will be able to demonstrate the differences in people, groups, and the importance each contributes to the larger framework of society. Students completing this level will be well prepared to pursue a Sociology degree at the four- year college/university level.

Core Component: 42 Credit Hours


Communication: 6 Credit Hours


Choose Two (2):

Mathematics: 3 Credit Hours


If any overflow hours are earned from Math or Life and Physical Sciences, they will be applied to the Component Area Option.

Choose One (1):

Life and Physical Sciences: 6 Credit Hours


If any overflow hours are earned from Math or Life and Physical Sciences, they will be applied to the Component Area Option.

Choose a minimum of Six (6) Hours:

American History: 6 Credit Hours


Choose Two (2):

Government/Political Science: 6 Credit Hours


Component Area Option: 6 Credit Hours


If any overflow hours are earned from Math or Life and Physical Sciences, they will be applied to the Component Area Option.
