Art & Visual Communication Program

The Occupational Skills Award in Graphic Design provides entry‐level skills for designers. The field of graphic design focuses on the creation of print and digital media to appeal to a target audience and create an identity for a business or organization. The program is especially suited for people who would like to design logos, advertisements, brochures, business cards, letter head, publications and more in print and digital workspace.

Graphic design training can provide the student with opportunities to:

  • Augment income and skills
  • Create a more compelling portfolio
  • Apply for positions as graphic designer and desktop publishers

As one of the newest Applied Sciences Programs, Art & Visual Communication is focused on the design of print and digital media to appeal to a target audience by creating an identity for a business or organization. The Graphic Design (formerly Digital Publishing) awards are especially suited for individuals who would like to design logos, advertisements, brochures, business cards, letter head, publications and more for the print and digital workspace. Graduates of the Program are prepared to seek employment in occupations such as graphic designers and desktop publishers.
