Study of the concepts related to the provision of nursing care for childbearing and childrearing families. Application of clinical reasoning processes and clinical judgment including a focus on the childbearing family during the prenatal, perinatal, postnatal periods and the childrearing family from birth through adolescence; and competency in knowledge, judgment, skill, and professional values within a legal/ethical framework. This course lends itself to a blocked approach.
