Foreign Language, AA


This degree prepares students by providing the academic foundation necessary to successfully transfer and pursue baccalaureate degrees in foreign language and other related fields. A degree in a foreign language enables students to broaden their horizons by combining the study of another language with an examination of the cultures associated with it. Concentrations can be selected from Spanish, French, German, or American Sign Language.

Core Component: 42 Credit Hours


Communication: 6 Credit Hours


Choose Two (2):

Mathematics: 3 Credit Hours


If any overflow hours are earned from Math or Life and Physical Sciences, they will be applied to the Component Area Option.

Choose One (1):

Life and Physical Sciences: 6 Credit Hours


If any overflow hours are earned from Math or Life and Physical Sciences, they will be applied to the Component Area Option.

Choose a minimum of Six (6) Hours:

Language, Philosophy, Culture: 3 Credit Hours


Choose One (1):

American History: 6 Credit Hours


Choose Two (2):

Government/Political Science: 6 Credit Hours


Component Area Option: 6 Credit Hours


If any overflow hours are earned from Math or Life and Physical Sciences, they will be applied to the Component Area Option.

Choose Two (2) courses equaling six (6) hours unless overflow hours from Life and Physical Sciences/ Mathematics are used:
