This degree is designed and intended primarily for students planning to transfer to a four-year college or university to complete a baccalaureate degree in the field of physics. Students take courses in chemistry, mathematics and physics common to most physics-related disciplines and continue their studies in specialized areas after transferring to a university program.

Core Component: 42 Credit Hours


Communication: 6 Credit Hours


Choose Two (2):

Mathematics: 3 Credit Hours


If any overflow hours are earned from Math or Life and Physical Sciences, they will be applied to the Component Area Option.

Choose One (1):

Life and Physical Sciences: 6 Credit Hours


If any overflow hours are earned from Math or Life and Physical Sciences, they will be applied to the Component Area Option.

Choose a minimum of Six (6) Hours:

Language, Philosophy, Culture: 3 Credit Hours


Choose One (1):

American History: 6 Credit Hours


Choose Two (2):

Government/Political Science: 6 Credit Hours


Component Area Option: 6 Credit Hours


If any overflow hours are earned from Math or Life and Physical Sciences, they will be applied to the Component Area Option.

Choose two (2) courses equaling six (6) hours unless overflow hours from Life and Physical Sciences and Mathematics are used:

Academic Electives: 6 Credit Hours


General Academic Electives: 6 Credit Hours
