Economics, AS


This degree prepares students for careers in the economics profession by providing the foundation necessary to successfully transfer and pursue a degree in the area of economics at a four year college/university. Students are given the opportunity to learn fundamentals – as well as theory and practical application of macroeconomic and microeconomic principles involved with the production and consumption of goods and services as well as the analysis of the commercial activities of a society. With an Associate of Science in Economics students begin their preparation for a career as” a market research analyst, economic consultant, actuary, credit analyst, or policy analyst.

Communication: 6 Credit Hours

Mathematics: 3 Credit Hours


If any overflow hours are earned from Math or Life and Physical Sciences, they will be applied to the Component Area Option.

Choose One (1):

Life and Physical Sciences: 6 Credit Hours


If any overflow hours are earned from Math or Life and Physical Sciences, they will be applied to the Component Area Option.

Choose a minimum of Six (6) Hours:
