Students completing this Associate of Arts degree will have demonstrated an understanding of psychological concepts as applied to individual and group behaviors. Emphasis is placed on describing and understanding human thought and behavior. Students completing this program will be well prepared to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree at the four year/university level.

Core Component: 42 Credit Hours


Communication: 6 Credit Hours


Choose Two (2):

Mathematics: 3 Credit Hours


If any overflow hours are earned from Math or Life and Physical Sciences, they will be applied to the Component Area Option.

Choose One (1):

Life and Physical Sciences: 6 Credit Hours


If any overflow hours are earned from Math or Life and Physical Sciences, they will be applied to the Component Area Option.

Choose a minimum of Six (6) Hours:

American History: 6 Credit Hours


Choose Two (2):

Government/Political Science: 6 Credit Hours


Social and Behavioral Sciences: 3 Credit Hours


Component Area Option: 6 Credit Hours


If any overflow hours are earned from Math or Life and Physical Sciences, they will be applied to the Component Area Option.

Choose Two (2) courses equaling six (6) hours unless overflow hours from Life and Physical Sciences or Mathematics are used:

Academic Electives: 6 Credit Hours


General Academic Electives: 6 Credit Hours

Area of Concentration: 12 Credit Hours


Psychology: 12 Credit Hours


Choose any combination of PSYC courses to total 12 credit hours.
