This degree prepares students to successfully transfer into a four year college/university and pursue a degree in Criminal Justice. The Field of Study (FOS) provides a more extensive emphasis on specific criminal justice courses than the traditional Associate of Arts degree. It is an intensive study of the methodologies and techniques used in law enforcement and the criminal justice system. This curriculum applies to institutions that award the Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degrees with a major in criminal justice, including all criminal justice specializations. The FOS includes fifteen (15) designated semester credit hours and six (6) discretionary semester credit hours in the field of criminal justice.
