GIS (Geographic Information Systems) is a computer-based tool that uses spatial data to analyze and solve real-world problems. This course is designed to introduce the student to the basic principles and techniques of GIS and the principles of geography and cartography. The lab component of this course will focus on GIS data collection, entry, storage, analysis, and output using GIS software. Prerequisite(s): A student must be college ready in reading, writing, and math according to TSI college-ready standards.
