In conjunction with class seminars, the individual student will set specific goals and objectives in the study of human social behavior and/or social institutions. Introduction to Geographic Information Systems will include a history of GIS, real-world applications of GIS, basic GIS data and structures as well as geospatial visualization and modeling.
