This course is a study of the factors that impact learning, including self-awareness, inter-personal behavior and decision-making, and an exploration of practical learning strategies that will help students become successful learners. Assessment instruments (e.g., learning inventories) are used to help students identify their own strengths and weaknesses as strategic learners and a combination of theoretical and practical learning activities are employed to encourage active learning both in and outside of the classroom. This course is a student success course designed to be linked with 2 three hour academic courses to create a learning community as part of the Blinn College Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP).
