An experience external to the college for an advanced student in a specialized field involving a written agreement between the educational institution and a business or industry. Mentored and supervised by a workplace employee, the student achieves objectives that are developed and documented by the college and that are directly related to specific occupational outcomes. This may be paid or unpaid experience. Classroom activities include employability and personal life skills topics. Prerequisite(s): Must successfully complete 12 hours or more of criminal justice courses in either CRIJ or CJSA. Must be 20 years old or turn 20 during the semester of internship and have no criminal record, not be on academic probation, and be in good standing with Blinn College. Some exceptions to age and record will be considered.
